John Van der Kiste has written over 100 books including works on royal and historical biography, local history, true crime, music, and fiction. He is also a contributor to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. His most recent titles include The children of Charles II, Queen Victoria’s daughters-in-law, Queen Victoria and the European empires, William IV, James II and the glorious revolution, and The end of the Habsburg monarchy. He lives in Devon.
